60 Second Pitch Workshop

Most people hate the 60 second pitch. Here’s how to make it work for you

Tuesday 12 May 2026 · 9.30am – 11.30am

Weston Park, Weston-Under-Lizard, Nr Shifnal, Shropshire TF11 8LE

60 second pitch: love it or loath it?

Does any of this sound familar?

You know you’re excellent at what you do, but you never feel like your pitch does you justice.

You might stumble over your words. Or try to fit too much in (because you do so much).

Or your business have changed, and you’re not sure what to say anymore.

If the answer is “yes”, you’re in the right place.

Introducing yourself doesn’t have to be awkward or forgettable.

When you have the right framework, a warm and supportive environment, and the space to actually practise, you can feel confident.

This is exactly what the 60 Second Pitch Workshop is designed to be.

What you’ll leave with

  • a clearer introduction
  • a pitch framework you can reuse
  • a version that sounds like you
  • live practice
  • better feedback
  • optional AI refinement after the thinking is done

“I did my pitch at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Start Up Club. OMG! It resonated so much with the people in the room. It got me an instant sale on a pull-up banner design and a lady approached me to see her 🙌 THANK YOU”

About the workshop

We’ll start with networking over a breakfast sandwich and hot drinks to break the ice.

It’s a small group setting (maximum 15 people) and relaxed environment, where you don’t have to feel the pressure of being perfect.

The workshop is interactive, with lots of opportunities to practise.

Networking is built into the session too, so by the end you’ll know each other’s pitches almost as well as your own.

You’ll also get feedback. Not just “that sounds good”, but constructive, useful feedback so you know whether your pitch is actually working.

You want it to make sense. You want to be remembered. That’s when referrals happen.

If weather and time permit, we will go on a short walk in Weston Park’s grounds to try out your pitches and intros in a different setting.

About Charlotte

Charlotte Davies smiling and sitting on a stool with a notebook

I’ve been organising and attending networking events since 2016 – first as Development Manager at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, and more recently as the founder of Netwalk and Talk, a monthly netwalking event that’s been running since April 2024.

I know what it’s like to be in that room. I also know what makes a pitch land and what makes it get forgotten.

My workshops are designed to be warm and welcoming, because I’ve seen that’s when people do their best work.

I’m a CELTA-qualified English teacher (ESOL) and have taught in Spain and Italy as well as the UK. I’ve studied French at degree level and Spanish as an adult. Understanding how people learn to communicate – and where they get stuck – is built into everything I do.

This is for you if:

  • You network regularly but never quite feel satisfied with what you say
  • You’re new to networking and want to feel confident from the get-go
  • You’re changing your focus and you want to try something new

Couldn't AI just write a pitch for me?

Yes. In seconds. But it’s a bit like asking your friend to do your homework. It won’t sound like you (unless it’s trained on your voice), and you won’t really know it.

Writing it yourself – and understanding the format – means you’ll feel more confident in the content and more likely to remember it when you’re standing up in a room of people.

I’m not anti-AI. I’ll share some prompts that can help you refine and edit your pitch once you’ve written it. But the thinking and the words? That part’s yours.

Do I need to have a pitch already written?

No. We’ll be starting from scratch.

If you have already written one, you’re welcome to bring it with you to work on.

Is this suitable if I've been networking for years?

Yes. Your experience will be useful to draw on when writing your pitch.

Will I have to speak in front of everyone?

You won’t be forced to do anything you don’t want to do.

However, I believe confidence comes from action. I aim to create a supportive environment where you’ll want to at least try.

What do I need to bring with me?

We’ll be working on your pitch during the session so you’ll need something to write on.

If you bring a laptop or device, please bring it with a charged battery as access to plugs are limited.

What should I wear?

There isn’t a dress code so please wear something you feel comfortable in. You may prefer to wear something that you normally network in to reflect a real event.

Depending on weather, the plan is to go on a short walk so we can practice our intros in a different environment. With this in mind, please wear sensible footwear.

Is there free parking on site?

Yes. There is a large carpark at Weston Park with plenty of spaces.

Where should I go on arrival?

The workshop is taking place in The Snug, which is located next to the Granary Grill. I will be there to greet you.

What happens after I book?

You’ll get a confirmation email so you can add it to your calendar. I’ll send more details a few days before the workshop.

Are refreshments included?

You’ll get a breakfast sandwich on arrival with tea and coffee. The Granary Bar will be open so you can buy more drinks during the morning.
