What is Netwalk and Talk?

Netwalk and Talk is a monthly business networking event and guided networking walk held at Weston Park in Shropshire. It has been running consistently since April 2023.

Each session includes:

  • Welcome coffee and breakfast networking
  • A short, practical communication or marketing insight
  • A guided walk through the park grounds

It’s intentionally structured, without being intense.

I design each session carefully so that conversations feel natural, but never accidental.

Professional, without the performance

Netwalk and Talk is professional networking – just without the performance pressure.

There are no compulsory stand-up introductions and no formal 60 second pitches.

If you’d like to share news, events or services, you’re very welcome to – but it’s optional, not expected.

Why walking works

When you walk side-by-side rather than face-to-face across a table, conversations feel easier.

There’s less pressure.
More space to think.
More room for real discussion.

Networking rarely hinges on a single conversation. It grows through familiarity and trust — and that’s what this format supports.

Business is done here.
But it starts with genuine connection.

Who comes along?

Netwalk and Talk attracts:

  • Small business owners
  • Freelancers and consultants
  • Marketing and communications professionals
  • Directors and decision-makers

Most guests are based around Wolverhampton, Telford, Shropshire, Stafforshire and the wider West Midlands.

Group size is intentionally kept to around 20–25 people to allow for meaningful conversation.

Many return time and again, not because it’s a membership, but because it becomes a highlight of their month.

Coming on your own?

Many guests attend solo.

If it’s your first time (to this event or generally), I’ll personally introduce you and make sure you’re included in conversations.

You won’t be left standing on your own.

“Every time I’ve been, I’ve met different genuine and interesting people.”

Hosted by Charlotte Davies

I’ve been designing communication environments for years – from in-person workshops and events across the West Midlands to online Zoom rooms (especially during the pandemic.)

One thing I’ve learned: small design choices change how people feel.

I structure Netwalk and Talk intentionally – so conversations feel natural, but never accidental.

No unnecessary pressure.
No performative introductions.
Just thoughtful space to connect.

Netwalk and Talk has been running monthly at Weston Park since April 2023.
