Group Programmes & Workshops

Clear communication – in a supportive group setting

If you want to feel more confident speaking, clearer about what you do, or more comfortable communicating with others — group work can be an ideal place to start.

I run group programmes and workshops that help you think, speak, and communicate more clearly – without performance, pressure, or confidence theatre.

Some sessions are open to individuals and hosted by me.
Others are delivered in-house for organisations and teams.

What they all have in common is this:

Clear structure, a welcoming atmosphere, and space for people to show up as themselves.

Open Group Programmes

Work through your communication – alongside others

These are programmes you can book onto as an individual.

They’re a good fit if you:

  • want to build confidence in a supportive group setting
  • like learning alongside others who feel similarly
  • want structure and guidance, without being put on the spot
  • enjoy space to think things through properly

Group programmes run at set times and follow a clear structure, while still allowing room for reflection, discussion, and different communication styles.

Public Speaking with Confidence

A three-session programme for people who want to speak more – and feel clearer and calmer when they do.

This small-group programme is for you if:

  • speaking opportunities come up, but you hold yourself back
  • you have experience and stories to share, but struggle to structure a presentation
  • you want to be clearer, calmer, and more memorable when you speak
  • you’d like speaking to open up more opportunities in your work or business

Across three sessions, we focus on:

  • Foundations – setting the right conditions for speaking success
  • Clarity, voice & presence -knowing what to say and how to say it, without trying to be someone you’re not
  • Practice & progress – because this is where confidence actually grows

What to expect

You won’t be asked to perform.

You won’t be pushed to “be confident”.

You’ll be supported to build clarity, step by step.

“Thanks so much for this morning, I loved it! I was scribbling away with so many ideas and can’t wait for next week.
It’s an ideal group size (10 people), and your style always makes for such an engaging and enjoyable event.”

Talking Clearly About What You Do

A practical messaging workshop for people who struggle to explain their work

You’ll find this workshop especially useful if:

  • you freeze when someone asks, “So what do you do?”
  • your explanation changes every time you say it
  • you know what you do, but can’t quite put it into words
  • networking feels awkward because you don’t know how to start
  • you leave conversations thinking, “That didn’t come out right”

You don’t need to come in with anything prepared.

You just need a willingness to think it through properly.

You’ll leave with language that feels clear, usable, and true — and a better sense of what to say (and what to leave out).

In-House Communication Workshops & Training

I design and deliver structured communication workshops for organisations who want their people to think clearly, speak confidently, and represent their work well — internally and externally.

These sessions are commissioned by the organisation and tailored to the context, audience, and outcomes required.

They work well for:

  • internal presentations and updates
  • external speaking and representation
  • networking and relationship-building
  • building confidence across teams

Delivery formats

  • half-day or full-day sessions
  • multi-session programmes
  • tailored training for specific teams or roles

“Charlotte smashed it out the park at today’s Mingle & Master: Networking Done Right.

The thought of networking fills me with dread — that is, until today.

Charlotte shared so many useful, practical ways to network successfully, and it was fantastic to see everyone putting it into practice.”

Business Growth Officer, South Staffordshire Council

Example workshop themes

Organisations often bring me in to work on topics such as:

Networking Done Right
Practical guidance on building professional relationships without awkwardness, pressure, or performative networking.

This workshop can also be delivered ahead of conferences, Business Weeks, and large-scale events — giving attendees space to practise before stepping into bigger rooms.

Public Speaking with Confidence
Supporting individuals and teams to speak clearly and calmly in meetings, presentations, and events.

Representing Your Organisation with Confidence
Helping people talk clearly and confidently about their organisation, grounded in real examples.

Each workshop is adapted to the audience and context, while keeping a clear, practical structure.

“I can honestly say that I feel far more comfortable with my voice when speaking. It’s made me excited to see how I progress my style in the future.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to speak in front of the group?

No one is put on the spot.

You’re always invited — never forced — to contribute.

While I’d strongly encourage you to speak, listening, reflecting, writing things down, or sharing quietly are all valid too.

I’m nervous about group settings. Is this still for me?

Yes — many people feel that way.

The groups are intentionally small, structured, and supportive. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where people can think and speak at their own pace.

Do I need to be confident already?

No.

Confidence usually comes after clarity and practice, not before. These sessions are designed to help you build both.

Is this about performance or pitching?

This work is about clarity, communication, and real conversations — not putting on a show or selling yourself.

What you learn will help with pitches in the future, because you have greater clarity about what to say and how to say it.

How do I know which programme is right for me?

If you want to speak more confidently, start with Public Speaking with Confidence.
If you struggle to explain what you do, Talking Clearly About What You Do is often a good place to begin.

If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to get in touch and talk it through.

How practical are these sessions?

Very. You’ll leave with clear ideas, language, and next steps you can use straight away – not just theory or discussion.

How do I know which option is right for me?

If you have a specific talk or presentation coming up and want clarity quickly, the 90-minute session is often enough.

If you’re preparing for a high-stakes presentation or want more time to develop your message and delivery, the Conference Prep VIP gives you the space to do that properly.

Ready to feel clearer and calmer when you speak?

The next step is a conversation.
