I’m celebrating for two reasons this week…

Firstly, I’m a speaker at TEDx Wolverhampton on 1 October!

I’ve been a fan of TED and TEDx talks for years. I’ll often choose a TEDx talk to watch while I’m eating my breakfast and be inspired for the rest of the day (if not week). So I’m VERY EXCITED and also VERY NERVOUS about getting up to speak.

The first meeting is on Wednesday where I’ll meet my fellow speakers and find out more about the process.

(FYI – TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the globe through TEDx events. Find out more about TED here)

The second piece of good news is…

I’m a finalist for Start Up of the Year at the Black Country Chamber Business Awards 2022.

I submitted the applications for both Start Up of the Year and TEDx even though it felt uncomfortable and I felt like an imposter. But I’m really glad I did! You don’t know what you can achieve unless you try.
